EL&CC Aims
At Houston Primary School EL&CC all members of staff endeavour to provide a stable, caring environment where children are enabled to reach their full potential.
We aim to:
1. provide an appropriate curriculum for our children which will be
2. provide opportunities, appropriate to individual children’s learning needs, which will ensure children’s development and progress
3. develop play experiences both indoors and outdoors
4. build partnerships with parents and provide support for children and their families
5. create a positive ethos where:

7. manage the EL&CC effectively by establishing a team which works towards providing a high quality service, using effective quality assurance procedures
We consider that it is important to work together with parents to ensure the highest quality of education for our children.
Non-Denominational Policy of the EL&CC
The EL&CC is non-denominational. We respect and welcome children and parents of all religions, faiths and beliefs. Provision takes into account the needs of children with additional support needs. These principles are reflected in the criteria used to admit children to nursery and the curriculum of all establishments.
Our Equal Opportunities Policy
All pre-five services should reflect the Council’s equal opportunities policies and be anti-racist, anti-sexist, multi-cultural and recognise the rights of both men and women to work or to care for children. Provision takes into account the needs of children with additional support needs. These principles are reflected in the criteria used to admit children to EL&CC and in the curriculum of all establishments.
